    Assuming a late 2021 launch, do you expect the next Battlefield to launch on current-gen consoles?

    If that would be the case, the game will be held back to an insane degree, because DICE would have to make the game run on old and slow hardware. The CPUs of the Xbox Series X and PS5 are at least 4 times faster than Xbox One and PS4 (the GPUs are at least 10x faster), and the SSD will lead to big changes with regards to level design.One of the reasons BF1 looked so much better than BF4 is because the latter had to run on the PS3 and Xbox 360. This bottleneck meant DICE could not optimise BF4 for the PS4 and Xbox One hardware.

    Remember that by the time BF6 launches, the new consoles are roughly 1.5 years on the market. I really hope it will not release for current-gen consoles for the stated reasons.

    Loaded up Battlefield 1943 on Xbox one, having an absolute blast by the way! So those who still have this or wish to get back into it it's definitely still active and playable

    However, stats and rank do not appear to be working, is this the same for anyone else? I'd love to continue playing but without the sense of progression which I love this might be quite short lived :(

    Battlefield 2 holds a strong position in the gaming memories of many people here, me included. But this week I joined BF2 Hub to play online again for the first time in years and my rose-tinted glasses were immediately shattered. I remember that I used to spend most of my time in the game sniping, and I realized that's because if you try to enter the forefront of the action as infantry, you WILL get your shit pushed in by tanks, apcs, planes, choppers, arty, or any combination of these. This is definitely a vehicle-dominated game. The guns for every class other than the snipers and spec ops are frustratingly inaccurate, which is probably why many players resort to just throwing grenades and c4 around instead of shooting each other. After 2 hours of gameplay I was begging to be killed with a regular gun. On that topic, players start with 4 grenades and they replenish from ammo boxes, so the nade spam is a real issue. The spawning system is terrible and it's not uncommon to die within 3 seconds of spawning multiple times in a row. And of course there's dolphin diving and the 10-foot-radius claymores.

    This game was a treasured part of my past and I've been comparing the newer BF games against it for years, but maybe I shouldn't. Maybe it's just nostalgia or maybe it's because there was nothing quite like BF2 back in the day. I guess this just shows that every game has its flaws. Except 2142, that was perfect.

    Was watching an episode of Battlefield Friends and it got me to remember Battlelog was a thing. I searched my old profile and seeing all the stats from BF3, BFH, and BF4 all on PS3. Really got me in that nostalgic feeling of all the fun I had back then with friends I don't talk to anymore.

    Long story short I miss BF3 and my old squad mates

    [BF5] Is there a way to view your past games via the recorded?

    Essentially the title. I had a really good game where I flanked In a match today killing the whole time and I think it'd be great in a montage but I didn't record it :( wondering if this game has a built in recorder or if the Xbox does?

    [BF5] good idea how the health packs should really work in the game

    I don't know if I'm the only person who encounters this but when I'm playing battlefield 5 h feel like I run out of health packs a lot if I'm not using the medic class. I also feel like there is a lack of medics in my lobbies which even makes it harder for you to get your health back. I know there's the healing stations around the map but the should be more.

    I thought of an idea that dice can do maybe in the future. What if everytime you kill something they drop a health pack like they do with armor ? Obviously it won't drop if they have already used it. It make sense on why it should be in the game and it would help players like me stay alive for longer and not always have to rely on medics to heal me. If they didn't want to do that. Buff the medic class somehow, such as maybe giving them a higher xp bonus when you revive someone/heal someone.

    What's your guy's opinions on this? Am I the only one who feels like it's hard to get health?
