Casual team play is underrated

As we're currently evaluating the pros and cons of the class system, I feel like people are being a bit reductive when discussing the team play that it's built to encourage. It's not a dichotomy of coordinated "real" team play or nothing. Casual team play is a thing, and it's great. Sure, those frustrating moments when people don't do what they should stick out in our minds, but think about it, those moments stick out to us because we're expecting a medic to heal us and a support to replenish our ammo. Those expectations are a success in themselves because the game has effectively taught us to rely on and value our teammates, even if it doesn't seem obvious most of the time. I think this affects the feel of the game way more than people think. Getting this feeling of team play without needing to get all hardcore and co-ordinating with people is an incredible strength of this series and I don't think enough people appreciate that. People are focusing too much on the obvious, but comparatively small negatives and taking for granted the huge, unique positives that have made the series what it is.
