    Armor in the Gadget slot in 2042 actively discourages team-play

    People here who hate armor: you're completely right, but I'm going to argue it's actually much worse than you think. The way armor is implemented in the game actively discourages team-play in a significant way.

    The armor slot takes the place of a "gadget". All of the other gadgets are team oriented in some way; either taking down vehicles together or direct teamplay items like med packs, ammo boxes, or soflams.

    The choice players are forced to make by Dice is:

    "Do you want to contribute to the team and work together?"

    Or

    "Do you want to be more even more powerful and help no one? Did you ever hear the tragedy of Darth Armorius The bullet-resilient? I thought not. It's not a story the Battlefield players would tell you. It's a Fortnight legend."

    It's more than just giving players the option to forgo helping others, it is punishing players who choose to be helpful by making them weaker. Players are actively being steered into ignoring their teammates and the common goal.

    There has to be another way to balance this that doesn't discourage team-play. The choice involved in equipping armor should be at the expense of other self-boosts. Maybe non-reusable armor instead of any weapon attachments or scopes? Or just remove it as a gadget and let the only way to get armor be from an "Angel", you know, like team-play?

    2042 may have its issues, but this was one of the coolest “Battlefield moments” I’ve ever had.

    It actually disrupts gameplay.

    1. No longer can someone wait for the first cap to spawn, making them waste their time running.

    2. The vehicles spawn faster than the troops.

    3. Spawning in on vehicles as a passenger is needlessly difficult because of it.

    4. There is always an extreme disproportionate spawn on one of the flags for Breakthrough because it is a toss up if it will actually will put you where you want.

    5. It glitches and sometimes you get stuck in the chopper.

    6. It disrupts your preparation for battle by taking you out of your loadout customization and putting you straight in whether you want to or not.

    7. It is a waste of time all things considered. When the countdown hits 0, we should play the game if we chose to spawn, not waste another 10-15 seconds watching and waiting to play.

    Why is it still in the game? There is literally no pro to it when considering just how much it impacts and disrupts the core gameplay.
