- When I try to start BF4 it displays this message and doesn't start. I played BF4 before and it wasn't a problem. I even bought it on steam instead of origin and it still doesn't work. I verified and reinstalled the game countless times and it still doesn't work. Help would mean the world to me.

| Issues with connecting on the same network Posted: 18 Sep 2021 07:15 AM PDT I think I've seen a few posts about this from years ago, but it looks like the issue was the same without many evergreen solutions. My wife and I are trying to play Battlefield together on the same network, and we're running into the "cannot connect to server" issues where the game won't allow players on the same network to play together. I've been talking with EA support and I've gotten responses varying from "The game isn't cross compatible" (I'm on PS5, she's on PS4, plus I've played with other PS4 players before), to "this is a temporary network issue, follow these troubleshooting steps to make it work". Does anyone have any experience with this or can lend some modern solutions to this? I feel like I've forwarded every port and have tried every workaround that doesn't involve renting a second static IP from Centurylink. Ya boy just wants to play games with his wife.
