    Come on I believe this is what most people want. Why make it that console players can only play with their own platform if crossplay is turned off? Neither PS and Xbox has an advantage over each other.

    I think people dislike specialists because they feel the change was unnecessary, and it could be used as a way to get more money using micro-transactions. The special gadgets wouldn't be that bad if, we were allowed to customize our characters as much as we wanted. Insurgency sandstom is a perfect example of this being done right.

    You make your operator, and use the currency earned through gameplay to get them new cosmetics. Your operator can be male or female, have different skin tones, you can choose the voice, the hairstyle, and even eye color. Then you begin choosing what pants and shirts they wear, even choosing shoes and gloves too, you want your operator to have glasses or goggles? Sure go for it. Don't like a certain helmet? Buy a different one. Don't like any of the options? Don't wear one.

    And the best part is you can project onto them.

    In Insurgency sandstom, I don't play as Bob from Carolina, who has a strong sense of justice and doing what's right. I play as me, maybe Bob from Carolina is who I want my character to be, and so I can act accordingly. But when I play, I don't see 20 other Bob from Carolinas running around. I see a bunch of genuinely unique characters running around.

    Many of us are upset because, the no pats are the perfect setting for customizable characters with no backstories or personalities. What if I don't wanna be Maria Falk, who's searching for her probably dead son? What if I wanna be John Johnson, who's just some kid fighting as a mercenary so he can buy some doge coin? But I still wanna have the ranged revive?

    Or what if I'm Webster Mackey and I wanna play as an Asian girl?

    When call of duty added Operators I immediately chose the mil-sim faceless generic grunt. Why? Because I didn't find all of the wacky characters with unique voice lines interesting. I wanted to be a cog in the machine and MW let me do just that. Battlefield 2042, forces you to be a specialist, when I want to be a jack of all trades who isn't special. I also feel like letting any class use any weapon was a big mistake.

    I believe that most weapons should be available to all classes. Except for two. Snipers and LMGS. Letting anyone use these regardless of class is really stupid. And you cannot convince me otherwise. There will be tons of sweats with broken loadouts all camping 1 spot and basically being unbeatable. I actually like the idea of any class being able to use PDW's and Assault rifles. But not Snipers and LMGs. But since Metro is confirmed to be coming back, picture this. A team of Boris' with their sentry guns parked all spamming grenades in metro, all of them using LMG's.

    Many people are scared of specialists, because they fear battlefield will start trying to be another game instead of battlefield. It may sound silly, but how many series have died off because they tried to copy trends and suffered as a result?

    Either way, this could be fixed if they restricted gear to classes, and let most guns be used by anyone. That way, you won't get Boris' with snipers and Rocket launchers while having a sentry protect them.
