    New to BF1, I think devs went a bit to far with the grenade spam in choke points lol, you could sit there for 30 min and the thing would still go on unless you go in and suicide or find another way.

    I think Battlefield V's customization was a step in the wrong direction as it muddled class recognition. For example, in BF1 Medics would carry crutches on their back while Supports had big, bulky backpacks that other classes didn't carry. It was much easier to assess whether your enemy was about to blow your head off with a sniper rifle or try to suppress you with an MG. In Battlefield V you had to check the icon above their head or look at their hands which is much more awkward, especially at long ranges.

    I'd argue a system similar to CoD WW2 where you get to choose a 'skin' for your specific class would be much better suited. In that game each division (part of the perk system) had specific skins not available to other divisions -- though that changed later on in the game's life cycle. Furthermore, it would encourage players to play all classes in order to obtain/experiment with skins not available to their favourite class. The skins would retain BF1's recognition system ( all Assault skins wear something to differentiate themselves from the other classes, and so on).

    And before anyone mentions it, there is no way in hell DICE/EA would remove customization from future BF games as they are clearly too profitable. For those who dislike the idea of playing dress-up, I sympathize.

    I fucking love the BC series, and miss it. The witty characters, the advanced (at the time) destruction. The awesome Vietnam DLC. I felt like your character truly had weight to it, and the knifing was ACTUALLY knifing and this shitty paperweight knife or scripted animations. Don't get me wrong, I did enjoy BF3 but BC2 for me was the height of the franchise.

    The story was awesome, the characters were lovable, the MP Maps were great, the Vietnam Expansion is my favorite BF DLC/add in of all time. I also appreciated that there was no prone. People couldn't worm their way into these cheesy spots to snipe, you always had to remain crouching or standing.

    Unfortunately it doesn't seem EA would bring this game or spin-off franchise back anytime soon but I hope I am wrong about that.

    What's up with the player count in BF1 and BF5 on the EU servers?

    So yesterday I tried playing some BF5 and BF1 side by side to find out which I would prefer more. In BF1 I usually played grand operations, same in BF5 but I really like the radio tower game mode that they have.

    Yesterday at around 9-10pm the following happens.

    In BF1 I tried going for a grand operation and was thrown into an empty server. After checking the server browser list with exactly Europe as the only filter I saw exactly 3 Conquest servers with 64 players, 1 conquest with 63, 1 operations server with 61 and a domination server with 13 people.

    In BF5 i didn't check the server list but grand operations were either low populated or took ages too find.

    Do other EU players simply add additional regions to their filter to find more matches and are populating servers outside of EU or do both games simply have a low player base for certain game modes?

    A week ago i thought to try BF1 as a break from BF4, trying something different! but since then when I get into a server there's no enemy alive and a dude with 350 kills! with no option to vote ban no admins no any shit !!

    Which features from previous games would you like to see in next battlefield?

    Mines would be:

    1. Crouch sprinting. Its a must have for me. One of the best features recently added to battlefield. However I would limit sliding so that it would be more real.
    2. Ammunition system from BF5. I liked it because it added a bit of realism that you werent always full on supplies and you had to resupply from stationary places. Especially limiting ammo in vehicles.
    3. No auto healing. I think it worked well in BF5.
    4. Commander mode. I think its a great addition to this game and I would make it like BF2- fighting commander, you are playing but also commanding.
    5. Melee counterattack. It should just work better than in BF4. Different animations for different melees.
    6. Announcer speaks the language of your team. It was in BF2 but since then it was gone. Having your soldier speaking in for example German or Russian is great, but I would also want annoucer to speak this language.
    7. Squad revive. It worked well in BF5 because it had downside of a longer animation.
    8. Proper loading screens with short debrief. Again debrief was gone after BF2 but it added a little background what you were fighting for.
    9. Its not a game exactly feature, but it would like to see servers' round tickets. Just like in battlelog. Then you know whether its worth to jump in a server or wait to change a map.
    10. Forgot about this one. Bulding fortifications. Whats yours?
