Is Battlefield V the worst Battlefield Game ever made? Posted: 30 Jul 2020 07:33 AM PDT I don't want to ask this question to purely hate on the game, but more to see if I'm the only one in the community that thinks that. There is in my oppinion no other Battlefield game that was so disappointing as BFV and I played pretty much every game of the franchise. Even Battlefield Hardline who was and still gets hate from the BF Fanbase has at least a refreshing setting and cool mechanics etc. newly implementet. But what do you think? Is BFV the weakest of all BF Games? (PS. I newly joined the BF Reddit, so I can imagine that I'm not the first one who asks this question. In that case ...sorry ;)) [link] [comments]

For the love of BF MP, DICE please bring back private servers with admins for the next game. Posted: 30 Jul 2020 12:57 AM PDT The cheating in BF is completely out of control. I revisted BFV tonight. Join a server with a blatant cheater. He processed to tell us "Deal with it, it's my last game tonight losers" Players were saying they've been reporting him for months and nothing has ever happened. They aren't even trying to hide it now. It's obvious PC cheating is unstoppable, especially when the dev devotes no resources to combat it. PLEASE!! let the community police itself in the next game. Is it too late to start playing bf1? Posted: 30 Jul 2020 07:31 AM PDT I know there isn't going to be any new content, but are there enough players to make the experience similar to what it was at launch? [link] [comments]

What's fun about Battlefield V? (post 15 year hiatus from regular gaming) Posted: 30 Jul 2020 09:31 AM PDT So after watching trailers, seeing so many GPU benchmarks using BFV as a test game, the graphics and trailers made the game seem incredibly inviting and unreal. But after buying the game, I'm not really having as much fun as I expected... I'm reading on there that BFV isn't like the other BF games and isn't up to par with previous iterations. I remember seeing the Battlefield One trailer years ago before I built a PC and thinking "Wow, one day I've got to play a BF game." But now tbh I'm kind of disappointed. The single player campaign isn't exciting. Multiplayer I've noticed there's a lot more teamwork, but seems like it's pretty typical. Am I missing something here? What is it about BFV that makes it fun? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Jul 2020 05:24 AM PDT So I was thinking of buying it, and I am wondering If there are any active servers. Thank you! [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Jul 2020 06:58 PM PDT Any one else wish that DICE would give their mainline series a break and go back to some great storytelling, characters, and gameplay that we had in the Bad Company games? I honestly had more fun in Bad Company 2 than any other Battlefield. [link] [comments]
Can someone explain to me the martini-henry rifle? Posted: 29 Jul 2020 09:38 PM PDT I was playing explorer and i decided to try the martini henry rifle, and i was very disappointed So i was wondering: Why does it exist since it does only 10 extra damage when compared to the 1890 russian at the cost of 4 extra shots in the clip? I heard it used to be really good but it performed to me... badly. [link] [comments]
[Other]Battlefield games need a Conquest Conductor/AI Commander Posted: 29 Jul 2020 09:13 PM PDT TL;DR: Dynamic, emergent assignments. I think the next evolution of Conquest mode gameplay involves AI "commanders" (but it's really one AI commanding both sides) that issues objectives/bounties with explicit rewards for completion to certain squads/players. Every mission/bounty is issued with the goal of laying the foundation for as many "Battlefield Moments" as possible and for every game to end with a ticket margin under 100. Of course, players are free to do what they want, but high-value rewards (score, unlock currency, reinforcement currency, cosmetics) might push enough players to play along.
Imagine there's an enemy vehicle that has hit a certain kill streak threshold. The system issues a bounty for that enemy vehicle to all infantry and vehicles, with a tiered reward structure depending on how you kill it (dropped a bomb on it? okay, not bad. Pelted it with a bazooka until it croaked? Alright, David beat Goliath. Drove a jeep wired with c4 into it? Style points.)
The conductor could pit the highest scoring squads on each team against each other by setting the same primary objective for the two of the them: Capture/Defend Obj C. Alternatively, a flanking back cap objective could always be a mission for a middling squad, and just when that back cap is happening the conductor could set an objective for one squad to prevent or undo that back cap.
IDK, just a thought I had. Hardly a fully fleshed out idea. FWIW I've been a Battlefield fan from the beginning. [link] [comments]
