Weekly Find a Friend Fridays - June 12, 2020 Posted: 12 Jun 2020 02:32 AM PDT Comment with your ingame name, platform, and time zone (UTC system). For example, an Xbox One player in New York would create a title "innerpenguin [UTC -5 Xbox One] looking to PTFO and make new friends. " If you have a rented server active this week, we invite you to list it here. Please specify which platform the server is for and any rules that you have. You can find past Find a Friend Fridays here. [link] [comments]

Posted: 12 Jun 2020 04:56 PM PDT Just rented a server for a week. If anybody still plays (I know you do) join in! Trying to get it to take off! (Just rented today). It's classic Battlefield 3 and Hardcore. Will switch it up every week. [link] [comments]
Posted: 12 Jun 2020 09:48 PM PDT Had battlefield 3 on Origin, but then they came out with the premium edition on steam. I decided to buy battlefield 3 premium edition on steam because it was cheaper then buying premium on origin. I started a match after I bought the game and everything went good. Then I turned off my computer to go do something and then I came back an tried to join again, but this time it stayed on "joining server" and said We're sorry, it looks like your game didn't start properly. Please follow the steps below and try start the game after each one: Make sure all drivers are up to date Restart Origin Repair the game in Origin Restart your computer".(...). I tried everything but nothing helped. Any help? [link] [comments]

The New Recon's guide to OP Firestorm Posted: 12 Jun 2020 08:30 PM PDT I'm a fairly new player, but upon realizing that I just got my Recon medal for 50 hours as the class, I thought I'd talk about one of my favorite maps and how to play the Recon class on it. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, because it's more likely than you think. First piece of advice works for both teams: B is your home. This is the point that can make the other two hardly matter, but it's centralized location also makes it a great location for a recon on either team, as almost nothing is too far from it for M98B to need to put people below the first tick on Ballistic. From on top, indoors, or on the streets, you can get a good view of either mountain, both C and A, as well as Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated should anyone find a way onto one of the platforms. Which leads into the second point: spawn beacons. Whether as a team player or lone wolf, your spawn beacon is instrumental to success. And with B being your home, it makes sense that you put your spawn beacon on or near it. I've found a few spots that work: -On the small tower of sandbags just east of B's south building's south entrance, -On top of the crate by the stairs and walkway in the south building (this one utilitizes real-life ninja techniques by being elevated (no one looks up) and by being right next to something about its own height (that being "not much")), -On top of the giant shipping crate in the north building (this one is more risky on paper, but is way too good) If you need to place it off B, try the building just east of the point, specifically on top of one of the crates anywhere but the west Wall of it, or in the small shack between C and B (this one is possibly the riskiest). Place your motion sensor in a box without collision to hide it while keeping it somewhere it'll be useful. As a Recon on OP Firestorm, your number one job is to shut down enemy recons. Again, from B, you can hit most if not all major sniper positions without going below the first tick, and while high ground is generally advised, I've personally found the most luck at middle ground, with most targets proving easier to hit from the top of the warehouses than from the mountains or the streets. If you don't see any snipers, play like anybody else, scouring B and using the one-two punch that is the M98B in conjunction with a single pistol shot for closer-range encounters, assuming you don't simply quick scope on the head. Once you notice an enemy recon, shift your priorities back to shutting them down so they can't do the same to your team. It's not a college essay, but there's my guide as a level 41 on how to play Recon on OP Firestorm! [link] [comments]
