| Posted: 04 May 2020 08:45 PM PDT Oh boy. So I have all assignments in the game, barring three: Fatal Drop, Road Warrior and All About Precision, which were all part of the End Game DLC assignments. The latter two unlock once you've completed Fatal Drop. I have two thirds of this assignment done - Kill 1 enemy soldier from airdropped IFV and Destroy 1 enemy transport vehicle from airdropped IFV - but the last part - Destroy 1 enemy IFV from airdropped IFV - I have been trying to get for years, albeit in a very casual manner. The trouble is that there are only very specific maps and game modes which have IFV airdops, and finding servers running these game modes on Xbox is extremely difficult these days. Even then, you have to spend the entire game trying to spawn in the airdropped IFV and hoping you encounter the enemy IFV and are able to kill it, something I obviously hadn't managed to do so far. So imagine my elation and downright relief when I completed this assignment, almost without trying, on a rare DLC server that was running tonight! I saw the dog tag ('Look Up') pop and knew that the two remaining assignments were a piece of piss, if you'll excuse my French. 'Road Warrior' required a roadkill with the dirtbike, which I could probably do on the server I was already playing on; plus destroying 20 vehicles, which would come naturally enough just playing the game in the coming days. The final assignment challenges you to score 20 headshot kills with pistols - again, the sort of thing which can be completed with ease in a few games. I was finally, after seven years, completing all assignments, collecting my S-TAC pistol, and neatly drawing a line under the last task to fulfil in the game. Reader, this did not happen. Before the round had finished I was summarily booted from the game. 'You have lost connection to the session' was the message, and it appears that everyone else playing was also kicked by what I believe is termed a 'server hiccup'. As far as I'm aware this is the only means, besides the console hardlocking, of losing any progress you've accrued in the round. It would genuinely been preferable had I been kicked or banned from the server at that point. My assignment didn't save and I'm back to square one. So much for my luck being in! Maybe I'm fated never to complete it, but thank you for listening to my pain. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 04 May 2020 10:10 AM PDT This is the last resort for my friend, we have both got battlefield 3 the other day but his game has no sound at all. We have tried all sorts...
It is just this game and not his laptop specifically, the odd thing is we got it for work for a few hours at one point! We changed the values in the PROF_SAVE_profile file and he got sound back. But when we played the next day it had gone back to having no sound at all. We have tried to make the same changes but it as done nothing, any help would be greatly appreciated! | How this game make so much trouble to run it Posted: 04 May 2020 05:42 AM PDT Hello, I earned the game when was free to catch it. I sometimes play, now with the cuarentine more often. But some days ago I started having troubles to run it. At first It was mouse going crazy for Visual packages. Then "Loading" screen . I looked up to find a reason deleting a file of 1kb inside update folder end with .mtf extension. Then some troubles with the browser like " Error Something went wrong". Tried launching with compatibility, set .exe to launch as admin, repairing the game on origin. At the moment on web browser shows "Loading" bf3 opens an stay on background then it all closes. Anyone can be happening ? I can open the game throught bf3.exe Edit: Another restart later the browser shows this "ERROR Something went wrong, please try again later" It didn't even start the game process. I cleaned the cookies and re-log in and I get the same error. I read that sometimes the browser get messy and needs to re-log in. Even that chrome goes better than firefox (my main browser) but the same happens. [link] [comments] | ||
