    As we look to the future, we will release one more standalone update this summer that brings with it some new content, weapons, and game tweaks.

    [BF6] The next Battlefield game shouldn't have battle royale

    Controversial opinion but the next Battlefield game doesn't need battle royale. As tempting as it may seem to give another stab at the genre, it may be a waste in a hypercompetitive market. The BR market is oversaturated yet has only a few successes like PUBG, Fortnite, Warzone and Apex Legends. Besides PUBG and Warzone have already filled the niche role of realistic BR so what can a Battlefield BR bring that hasn't already been covered by those games?

    If anything, maintaining a BR mode would detract from the main game. Just look at how DICE was force to split servers and time between maintaining Firestorm and working on the base game leading to both underwhelming. Many games are perfectly fine or even better without BR. Borderlands 3 didn't have BR yet it got solid reviews and sold 5 million copies in its launch week. That game didn't need to chase trends so it can focus on what it does best: fun loot and colorful characters. Battlefield needs to focus on reclaiming its core identity and not chase the BR fad.

    [BF1] Petition to make BF1 DLCs available to everyone?

    Due to the quarantine, my old BF1 squad got back together and started playing for the first time in years. It's been awesome going back to the old operations and experiencing the epicness of this game.

    That being said, playing the same 3 maps is redundant and we were all surprised that still, years after the fact, the DLCs are full priced. We all have them but yet servers with Gallipoli, the Russian maps and Verdun are empty because the playerbase who invested in them is so small now and probably moved on.

    This is bad not only for the people who paid money to play this content but for the broader community too. Is there any possibility that EA would unlock this content for all players? It would breathe some life into the playerbase and keep the game going for longer.
