[bf5] MrMalaga has been hacking on Australian servers for weeks. Many people have reported dozens of times and nothing is being done. When and How do we report and get people banned?

    Posted: 22 Feb 2020 09:42 PM PST

the fact he's hacking isn't in question, he literally changes servers all day and sits in the middle of maps flicking around headshotting every one with a lewis gun. The highest I've seen him hit was 260 kills in a single map with like 10 deaths. Its beyond stupid. When and how do we effectively get people banned?

[BF1] Apparently headshots only do 97 damage (yes I realize its a carbine at range, but its still a full rifle cartridge)

I'm having more fun getting a car or truck and driving like its an actual road than actually playing the game like you are supposed to

    [HELP] Internet Connetion

    Posted: 23 Feb 2020 12:20 AM PST

Hello, I am thinking of buying Battlefield 4 and 1 on EA Publisher's sale. I noticed that BF1 requires 512KBps connection. I only have 450-500KBps internet speed (living in third world country sucks). Will I be able to play multiplayer? Will I just have high ping or connection errors? I have computer strong enough to run both games at 4K60fps but I don't know, if it's worth if I may encounter many connection problems. Thanks in advance for any provided help.

[BF4] Going from PS4 to PC definitely was an upgrade, maybe even to my effectiveness. Now, I can play the game till EA rips it from my hands without a care for far outdated graphics and low FPS

[BFV] Just had an interesting conversation with a cheater

    Posted: 22 Feb 2020 11:43 AM PST

This person was using a hacked account, which is pretty common nowadays.

Websites of organizations of hackers will hack the accounts for free and sell them for cheaters to use, rather than the cheaters buy their own account, which is more expensive. He was rank 79, but said he got the account when it was rank 20, and has been cheating for 2 weeks with no ban. He said himself he was actually surprised he got away with it for so long on one account without it getting banned.

I asked if he did it because he hated the new TTK (Other cheaters have admitted to this to me in conversation). He said no, he's been playing this way for 15+ years, and never answers why.

I thanked him for his time, because every cheater that talks to me, gives more useful information that if presented to DICE, could actually help prevent cheating in the future. Unless these guys are buying accounts of people in the same region as themselves, it seems to me that if the password changes with location of the IP, it should be a pretty safe indicator that a hacker has taken control of the account. Besides having regular cheat detecting software, DICE could do a location check against the location of the original account, and match passwords between different locations to give an indication. This method , in my opinion, wouldn't provide too many false positives, as the number of variables needed would be pretty high (location change, with great distances WITH a password change and possible name change)

Obviously this method would NOT detect people that buy cheating software for their own account, as nothing would substitute the use of true cheating software detection running in the background. I do worry that cheat detection in some games is so strict that programs like Re-Shade gets false positived quite often. I would obviously not want to see anybody using Re-Shade get banned from Battlefield or any future Dice Multiplayer games, as most use it to make the game 'prettier' not give them any kind of vision enhancement, as there are limited things you can do out of engine that would help with visibility (Which is something else DICE needs to work on in future Battlefield titles.) But I'm sure they are very aware of what the community wants, but are too far into the development cycle of this game to change some of those things.

Please like this post if you find it useful information that you think could help DICE in the future make Battlefield great again. Thanks for your time.

    [BF5] A for effort

    Posted: 22 Feb 2020 11:55 AM PST

[Other]I am just so tired and exhausted with technical problems and Origin ever since BF3.

    Posted: 22 Feb 2020 02:07 PM PST

Every time I decide to play any BF game since BF3 up until now, sooner or latter some problem, some annoyance, some nag pops out, maybe its an error with downloading a dlc, maybe its an error starting the game, maybe its an error joining a server, maybe you get disconnected for no reason, or there is some punkbuster bullshit, or those once existing browser servers don't function etc.... Always, over almost 10 years now, several PCs I used or owned, there is always problems, and I noticed that I do not get so many problems with playing other games(franchises) on Uplay or Steam, its just something about Battlefield games and Origin that causes this.

This night I was downloading BF4 for the X time in my life, and some download error appeared that I have never experienced before... I am just tired of this, I am fucking tired and exhausted, I have never downloaded a BF game, played for a few months and uninstalled it without hitches, I mean every time there has to be some bullshit...

I think BF is a series I played the most, but I also think BF by far holds the candle in the number of times I just deleted a game out of frustration over its technical problems, as I get older my patience and time are less and less for this, that's why I barely played BFV and almost didn't play BF1.
