this is my first post in this subreddit, but ive been playing bf4 since the year it released

when i was a kid, i didn't have much of a childhood. my family didn't have much money so i was grateful to have the few toys i had, and i was even more grateful when my dad bought our family an Xbox 360 with his christmas bonus, as well as bf4. my dad was super stoked to play the game, and at first i just watched him play

he had to answer a phone call, so he handed me the controller and prompted me with "don't die!" and 7 year old me was excited that he trusted me with that. my dad always played recon, he loved sniping, and i learned everything i know from him

eventually we began switching to controller each time we died. that's how i grew up, we had one controller and we played together. i grew up on bf4

when i got my pc in 2019, i was beyond excited. by that point, i had forgotten about bf4, but not the battlefield franchise, as the first game i got on my pc was bf5. but late 2021 when bf4 was on sale for $2, i couldn't resist and i bought it. immediately i was flooded with the memories of when i was a kid, and it made me realize that everything truly will be okay

to this day, bf4 is still one of my absolute favorite games. i still play recon, just like my dad did. that's all i gotta say. the game truly changed my childhood for the better. thanks y'all

tldr: bf4 gave me great memories as a kid and changed my perspective on life
