    Look, I'm all ok with the "everyone should have fun the way they play" mentality, inclusiveness, yadda yadda yadda.

    But why would you restrict my ability to see how I perform in a match compared to the rest of the team. Or against the enemy team? Why can't I even see the amount of my deaths in a freaking TDM? It's a basic feature that has been in every single Battlefield since almost 20 years. Hell, in the majority of FPS games since the beginning of existence.

    I mean, I do possibly know the actual reason. You don't want "lesser skilled" players to feel bad over their performance in a game so they don't quit too fast and stop buying your microtransactions *cough cough* .

    However, why wouldn't you give them and every other player the ability to check their progress in a match? Why wouldn't you allow newer players - that actually want to get better at a game - to use metrics that can help them in seeing whether they're improving or not. Why am I not allowed to see if I'm dying too often compared to others, so I have direct feedback that I should change my gear and/or strategy? Why am I not allowed to see if my playstyle is actually contributing to the win? PTFO doesn't mean that K/Ds don't matter. In fact, going 5/28 in a ticket restricted mode like Rush doesn't help winning at all.

    Man, I can't even see if I'm actually improving over a longer period of time since we don't even have a statistics menu. Overall K/D? Gone. Score/minute? Gone. W/L ratio? Gone.

    It's just so unnecessary. What comes next? Removing bonus XP for winning matches, so a minority of players don't cry that they're progressing slower than others?

    Edit: I just noticed, I can't even see the players' ranks. This is getting ridiculous.

    Breakthrough mode on Manifest broke at the end of the game. Game wouldn’t end even after we pushed them into their spawn and won, and our ticket count had hit zero. I haven’t laughed this hard in a while.

    The next step in shielding the average player of any kind of negativity

    When i thought MW2019 hiding the deaths from all players until the end of a round was the peak - BF2042 shows us now that companies are going even further with shielding average/unexperienced/young players from any kind of negativity in hopes of keeping them as players.

    • No scoreboard - means no seeing how good/bad you actually are compared to the rest of the server. only at the end of the round do we see somewhat how we stacked up against other squads, but not individually.. this has the negative side effect of many players having to drive to improve and get better at the game.
    • No text chat with the enemy team. "GG get gud noob" or "damn enemy team sucks" are days of the past. younger/bad players are to part quickly hurt and might go offline after getting harrassed 2 matches in a row for going 4-17.

    these two point combined make it infinetly harder to detect blatant hackers and mass report them, no scoreboard means they fly under the radar more ofter and no global chat means you can only call your team to mass report the hacker.

    i really hope outcry for these changes is big enough for EA/dice to revert these changes back to normal.
