[Other] If new Battlefield is "always hated" (IMO this theory is bs) and later considered a "classic".... why Hardline still isn't liked then?

    Posted: 31 Oct 2021 06:10 AM PDT

This whole theory is bullshit. All BF games are NOT considered classics after the next game comes out. It happened to

    • BF4, yes because the game got a massive overhaul by DICE LA
    • BF1 to a degree, but it also got big overhauls into gunpaly etc. by the end of development/updates. And after BFV sucked it started to seem better. But it still isn't as loved as BF4 or Bad Company 2, overall.
    • BFV still isn't that liked
    • Hardline even less... literally nobody says Hardline was so great. The game is dead, and doesn't even have a flair in this subreddit LOL... despite being newer than BF4, which does have a flair

So this whole theory is absolute bollocks. If this "old times were better" thing would happen to every BF game, like some claim (to deflect criticism) it would have happened to HARDLINE TOO. But it didn't.

People hate specialists, and pretty sure they will be hated in 10 years from now too. Deal with it.

Battlefield games just tend to get better towards their end for many reasons

    • Updates that fix the game, balance problems etc.
    • More maps and weapons get released. And the DLC will be heavily discounted too, so it will seem like a better deal
