Specialist make a lot of sense now! Posted: 15 Oct 2021 05:50 AM PDT This game had rumors it was going to be a hazard zone only game! I didn't buy it till I saw the hazard zone trailer. You can only pick one specialist per squad! The score board looked tailored for that mode also! This was def the direction dice was originally going for! So what I suggest is they keep the specialist but for hazard zone only! Bring back classes again to multiplayer. Sorry I'm on my phone. [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 15 Oct 2021 02:47 AM PDT In the beta, one thing i noticed putting in a good few hours was this: helicopters were running across the map annihilating infantry with rocket pods and impossible to kill. After flying the helicopters and playing around with the other vehicles, i think i may know the reason why. The autocannons and machine guns on every vehicle in battlefield 2042 are seriously hampered by low muzzle velocities and extremely obtrusive tracers that make it impossible to track moving targets. Consider the gameplay in battlefield 4, a AA tank could completely shut down an airspace and make it free of helis and jets, jets can easily strafe helicopters with 20mms, and of course scout helicopters could easily dogfight other helicopters. All this means that helicopters in bf4 had to play around potential threats and avoid them in order to not die, with the most serious threat being AA tanks. Compare this to battlefield 2042, in every single vehicle ive played, AA tank, jet, scout helicopter, tank secondary gunner, it was absolutely impossible to hit a helicopter, unless it was maybe 100m away from me and staying relatively static. The most stupid of this is the AA tank. Because a vehicle whose sole purpose is to destroy air targets, has to deal with guns that are slow firing, low muzzle velocity, low damage and cant see shit due to how thick the tracers are, i found it almost impossible to kill air targets. When i played helicopters, i eventually grew to have no fear of anything except infantry AA, because practically nothing could touch me as long as i payed attention to missiles. Scout heli next to me? Just go away, he cant hit you lmao. Jet trying to strafe me? Good luck with that, one press of X and his missiles are gone and hes overshot me already. AA tank? Just fly over him constantly poking him with rockets untill he dies. Regular tank? It used to be you would at least be fast enough to make it hard to get hit by the coax and gunner, now i just fly in with no fear. I dont really understand why DICE decided to balance vehicle guns like this, and i dont really know how bad or good it will be in the full release, but in the state of the beta, all i can say is if its not changed then helicopters will ultimately destroy every match. So - do we still get normal gun customization? Or is the Plus system all there is? Posted: 15 Oct 2021 04:10 AM PDT I haven't been able to find any specific info on this so I thought I might ask right here: Will there still be normal customization and attachment unlocks, and will we be able to customize the Plus system attachments? I heard there are normal unlocks so I hope it's the same as always. But now that classes are gone we can't be sure I guess… [link] [comments] |
