    Support feels useless

    Posted: 23 Jun 2021 03:17 AM PDT

Backstory: Hello, so i've been playing this game since forever. I've started as an engineer, and after feeling like i've done all there is to do mostly in conquest, i absolutely fell in love with rush and played it almost exclusively ever since. There, however, i felt like the assault class was more helpful, and it was a great breath of fresh air.
So again, i felt like i've done all there is. Thanks to the smoke grenade, i would often get all-but-two MCOMs in the game by myself, and if not, the general smoke coverages and revives felt like carrying the game (i'm barely ever NOT in the top places of the scoreboard).
It was time for a change, so recently i moved on to Support.

Actual thing: Support (clue's in the name) relies on its teammates to actually do something. Sure, it can be nice to be defending and hole up in a corridor and mow down everything in front of you, but that doesn't happen all that often.
Without a semi-competent team, i feel like i'm useless. I can't revive, i can't smoke and/or push, i can't destroy vehicles unless i get all the way up to them and hope they won't move much, i can't lob explosives into chokepoints, and the signature weapons HAVE to be mounted to be useful (which i understand for balance purposes, but unless you're defending in a favorable position, preferably with a medic to heal+revive you if things go bad).

So.. what are your opinions on this? Am i missing something? How can support be useful in Rush, when most of the team is absent minded?

Difference between 'Battlefield 3: Limited Edition' and 'Battlefield 3: Premium Edition'

    Posted: 22 Jun 2021 11:39 PM PDT

    Hi everyone,

I'm looking forward to purchase Battlefield 3 for PC, although I had a doubt regarding the difference between the game's 'Limited' and 'Premium' editions.

I am aware of the fact that the Premium Edition includes all premium maps, skins, customizations, and assignments (?) available in the game, while the Limited Edition only includes the 'Back to Karkland' DLC.

My main question, though, is: given the name "Limited Edition", implying to me that there should be some kind of content limited exclusively to that version, does it actually mean that this particular version includes anything that isn't already included in the Premium Edition (skins, customizations, assignments...)?

Any answer would be greatly appreciated!

TL;DR: If I want the most complete version of Battlefield 3 (all existing maps, skins, customizations, assignments... obviously excluding the content only available on pre-order), should I buy the Premium Edition of the game OR should I get the Limited Edition and then get the Premium Pack (thus implying that there is content solely available for the Limited Edition)?

My mouse is not working when I go in and try to look around although it works in the menus. I looked at other threads closed discord and origin, nothing seems to be working, any ideas?

How Active is BF3 on Steam?

Was wondering how active BF3 is on steam since BF4 has gotten more popular in the past couple of weeks, and was thinking of getting into BF3.
