    Because I think having ton of game modes is harmful to the game. Has been in past Battlefields

    With 10+ different modes, they can never balance all map+mode combinations. There's always some problems with balance, like Conquest balance is broken in Map X, and Operations works fine in Map X, but then in Map Y Operations is terrible, Conquest is so-so, Capture The Flag is only good in three maps etc. And people quit the server when the shit map comes.

    Even the biggest "flagship" modes suffer from this. Weak flags, weak cover placement, shitty spawn points, you name it. Because development time is divided between all these modes, and maps are "compromises" developed to somewhat suit all modes, but none of them perfectly. Also other features may suffer

    I'd much rather see them focus on big flagship modes, and really polish those to perfection. There is other games for small scale combat. Also, post-launch, the chances are much higher that they are able to fix ALL maps and balance problems, if there is not too many modes.

    Also playerbase is not divided between modes (and 1 year after launch, only the big modes are populated anyway)

    The game with all the DLCs is 10€ which is an insane price, and I'm really thinking of buying it to play with the bois, but I don't want them to buy something that proves to be dead.
    From what I searched in here, most people say that the PS4 playerbase it kinda dead, and many people struggle to find matches.
    But with the offer, combined with it being free on PS5 with the PS+ Collection, could we hope that the Playstation playerbase will get a big increase?
