Weirdly terrible performance on decent PC Posted: 12 Dec 2020 03:09 PM PST Hi everyone! Recently me and my brother started playing BF3 again, and despite having two similar laptops, the difference in performance is just appalling. My brother's: If we set the graphics setting to auto, we get recommended the same thing: Ultra textures, everything else on medium, NO anti-aliasing and motion blur, 4x anisotropic, and SSAO. Now I get that having 2 more Gigabytes of VRAM makes a big difference, and that this game wasn't really meant for laptops, but it's still a 2011 game, and I still meet the recommended requirements, so I would think I could at least run it on the lowest settings. Anyways, I just wanted to ask if someone was experiencing similar problems, and if there's something I could do to get it to run more smoothly, except of course for buying new hardware.
