It is the ultimate fun sandbox experience. People flying helis, jets, boats, infantry, all of the gadgets, etc just makes each CQ match awesome. Even after all of these years I've found there are still a few things I haven't unlocked yet.

I went on yesterday expecting to play a match or two and ended up staying on my favorite server for 4 hours. It was great.

My Thoughts After Playing Battlefield 5 For The First Time Since Launch

I preordered the game and played it day one. Needless to say, I was extremely disappointed. It just wasn't fun. It was frustrating. The stories were good (the tank commander one made me cry), but the multiplayer sucked. It didn't feel like a World War 2 game.

I uninstalled it after a week.

Yesterday I bought the game again. I bought the definitive edition. I came in with very low expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised.

I'm having fun now. I feel like I'm playing a World War 2 game finally. I'm storming Iwo Jima with an M1 Garand. This is fun.

Are there things that still bother me a good bit? Yes, things like black women running around the battlefield bother me a bit. It feels extremely out of place and feels a tad disrespectful to the people who actually fought, but past that it feels like a actual WW2 game and I'm having a blast!

It also helps that during the time after I stopped playing I became a massive gun nut. I'm loving the gun sounds. Things like the Thompson are extremely satisfying (and hard) to use. So many beautiful guns with beautiful sounds.

In short, I'm loving this game now. I plan to keep playing.
