Why do some players not like Battlelog? Posted: 19 Oct 2020 06:51 PM PDT I'm not fully understanding the reasoning(s). I have recently gotten back into BF3 and BF4 on PC, and just like in "the good ol' days," I would launch the games via Battlelog. I actually haven't gotten a chance to use the BF4 in-game menu yet, though I have played BF1, so I know it's similar. Furthermore, there have been some times where I would switch between playing BF3 and BF4, and with Battlelog, I can easily switch over to another game and server while also looking at stats or unlocks. Side note: With BF3, you have to close/tab-out/exit to Battlelog, so I guess I've grown used to it. Plus it was the only way that I've done it for years; "Muscle Memory" you could say. It works for me, but why not for others? Thanks in advance [link] [comments]

Posted: 19 Oct 2020 08:21 PM PDT Looking to get back into BF. Been out for a long time. What's the most active game to play right now? Is it BFV? [link] [comments]
[OTHER] DICE for the love of god have a true dedicated AT class in BF6 Posted: 19 Oct 2020 03:01 PM PDT This has been needed since before BF4, with all the changes that have been made each game that end up messing up class balance when implemented to the classes. The biggest and oldest example of this is the AT/engineer class. In BF4 and BF5 the AT class is objectively better than all the others for most situations, and it's simply because they have the tools to kill both vehicles AND infantry extremely well. In BF1 it wasn't as bad simply because the bullet deviation gave their weapons a short effective range. But BF5? You're essentially punishing yourself if you don't play assault in nearly every situation. The solution that has definitely never ever been tried before is to make the AT class use the big AT guns as primaries, good pistols as secondaries, and give them the majority of the AT gadgets. With this revolutionary idea that is completely brand new and never been done in Battlefield history, there would be a great reason to play the AT class, while also giving plenty of incentive to play the others besides guilt and boredom. It might also help move Battlefield a bit away from the K/D murder focus that it seems to be on right now. Sure, it might end up being frustrating to die to infantry because you chose AT class, but something with the power to oppose vehicles should have a drawback. All other classes have them: in BF5 medics lack range, supports lack moving accuracy, and recons suffer at short range. Then there's assault, which has no real drawbacks and immense AT power. It's pretty lame. This was the case with engineer in BF3/BF4 as well, and if it weren't for the RBD gunplay of BF1, it'd be true of assaults there also. Maybe make it a new class so you can keep the archetypes we already have and prevent medics from becoming the new god class. I'm sure a fifth class isn't gonna send fans heads spinning, or crank your game's complexity to sky high levels. And it's not like it's gonna start a slippery slope of more and more classes, that's silly. Either way, I think it'd do a ton to make the game more balanced. [link] [comments]

BF6: Infantry only maps for Conquest and Breakthrough - yes or no? Posted: 20 Oct 2020 03:14 AM PDT For example, Battlefield 4 has two maps which are infantry only - Locker and Metro (no matter what game mode is played). Do you think we will get infantry only maps in BF6? If we do, should infantry only maps be for game modes like Squad Conquest, Domination, and TDM only? [link] [comments]
