[BF] which bf game has the best maps?

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 08:24 AM PDT

For me it would have to be either bf1 or bf3. I think both those games struck a really good balance on conquest and rush/operations maps. Even though bf1 focused on a lot on operations maps I felt like it did a really good job with conquest maps as well. With conquest maps it did a good job of making operation based maps work for it but they also made conquest specific maps for it which were great. Bf3 managed to make its rush maps work really well for conquest as well I always thought, with the base game maps being amazing, don't think I played much of premium in bf3 tbh.

If you're wondering why I haven't put bad company 2 on here is because I played that years ago and don't remember it that well tbh, so I'd have to play it again to see how good it is. Never played bfh although the maps actually looked good in that game considering the flack it got. Don't remember playing rush on bf4 ever and I heard bf4 killed rush so there's that. As for conquest maps, can't say I was a big fan. There were some good ones but the layout of the flags just didn't seem to work well in that game. It always felt like infantry were too far apart at times, meaning it could be a while until you saw another player.

Even though bf3 had big maps this never seemed to be a problem, same goes for bf1. I think flags were just closer together, they were stringed together in a sense, so one would lead to the other or there were several in close enough proximity like with operation firestorm or kharg Island. Bfv on the other hand is an interesting one with the base maps all being fairly mediocre, although the big tank map was a really cool idea and worked well for rush and conquest. The pacific maps were actually awesome for rush(or breakthrough same thing really) dice did really well on those and conquest seemed good on those too. Barely played conquest on those maps so I can't have too much of an opinion on them.

Been wanting to play some battlefield again, but wich one? How alive is each game?

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 06:14 AM PDT

Got 3 ,4 , 1 and 5 and that feels so weird to type out.

Heard BF 5 was kinda dead now, but looking at this reddit it seems 4 is still alive and well?

I really hope DICE is actively receiving feedback from the community during the development of the next Battlefield.

    Posted: 18 Aug 2020 06:39 PM PDT

So many mistakes and bad designs could of been avoided in previous games if they just made sure their ideas translated well into gameplay. I don't think DICE can afford to have another major screw up in the franchise without risking going down the Medal of Honor road.

The recent rumors of maps being designed for 128 players kind of concerns me. It took DICE a long time to optimize the netcode for 64 players and I am worried we will go through another game with poor netcode. Also I hope they are doing this because they have a real vision for a solid shooter that needs more players for it to work and not because they are trying to compete with CoD. More players doesn't mean a better game.

I just hope Modern Warfare lit a fire in the dev team but I really hope they don't burn out trying to out do them. They need to just focus on their game and make sure its the Battlefield game that most of us have been waiting for since BF4. And PLEASE DICE NO MORE POORLY OPTIMIZED LAUNCHES. Most BF fans should know by now not to pre order Battlefield anymore so you need to take extra care to have a good first impression on early buyers.

Last thing please avoid making social or political statements in your announcement trailers. That belongs in the campaign or maybe not at all in your case DICE.

Please try your best from a longtime fan.

    Battlefield 6 Conquest Royal

    Posted: 19 Aug 2020 01:33 AM PDT

I know BR didn't necessarily work for BF5 (but it was fun) and that mode like this will shadow other base modes and may eventually kill battlefield we know (if and while BR is successful and popular). Even tho BR may be fun I would rather have few good old modes for BF6, but since Warzone is big success and EA wants money there might be a BR for BF6, even some leaks confirm that. So if we have to have BR mode I rather have something unique, more battlefield related. How would you make it?

For example Conquest + BR... let's say it's 128 players as a latest leak suggest. Game would start as 64v64 conquest on a big map with 12+ points to capture. First phase is capturing points where majority of loot would be. Then team would start somehow splitting (no longer 64v64) based on number of points captured or something. Some kind of gulag/low player deathmatch for killed players to being able to respawn. Then map start to shrink and it somehow turn into classic BR mode.

Or some big conquest map with 3+ factions fighting over it as a one big special moneymaker mode that will attract all the players.

BF1 is not fun for me anymore

    Posted: 18 Aug 2020 05:26 PM PDT

I cant have fun playing BF1 anymore. The south american servers badly even exist so im forced to play in north american and european servers wich makes my game laggy. Now BF1 is full of high level players and arty campers and i most of the games i play is just one team destroying the other wich ruins all of my fun. What about DLC maps? Who cares no one plays them anymore
