| Question: Why is the aim assist so unhelpful on the PS3? Posted: 09 Jun 2020 10:27 PM PDT Every single time I decide to play BF3, the aim assist refuses to actually assist my aim. I could be looking an enemy who is simply standing 20 metres in the open, and I have to strafe just to make the sight align to the target, rather than the sights actually lock on the target. I was trying to get a sniper kill on the huge mountain near A flag on Operation: Firestorm and I could not get my reticule to stay on target. The guy was 200 metres away. I even spotted him (press Select to spot, holding select opens the scoreboard) and nothing good happened. I swear, if someone ported the CoD: MW2 (2009) aim assist model and ported it to the PS3, it would keep more players rather making new players lose interest or be discouraged to play.
