    [Other]So 3 months before BFV was announced I started working on Battlefield 1944 a total conversion Mod for BF2...

    And I am sure glad I didn't cancel it and give up when I found out Battlefield 5 was a thing. It is a total conversion mod to Battlefield 2, so it has taken a long time to get everything made from scratch. Yes the engine is graphically dated vs Frostbite, but we have up to 4k ground textures, and the latest ReShade which fully supports Ray tracing! We have some of the best explosion and particle effects ever made in the BF2 engine from the Project Reality team. Our weapons and vehicles we are trying to use some of the most detailed models and textures ever found in any BF2 mod, FH2 included and that is one of my favorite mods ever made. We have actually shared some stuff we made for our mod that will show up in Project Reality:WW2 which is releasing next weekend actually.

    We have North Africa, Western Europe, the Pacific(With Naval combat!), and most importantly, a fully fledged Eastern Front! Also, historical authenticity is our prime objective. No more using the wrong equipment with the wrong faction...

    The mod is still not ready yet, I estimate we are about 85% ready for a first release. We just have a lot more polishing to do to get it just right. We sure could use all the support we can get. We are making THE game that the community deserves and it is going to be released 100% free as a mod for BF2 of PC. So yes it still requires the base game.

We haven't updated the news posts in over a year because we have been working very hard to get all new content which has been coming in at an unprecedented rate since the world wide lockdown has been in effect.     Hello everyone, Haven't played any Battlefield since BF3 and thought about playing it again. Looked at several Battlefield titles (4,5 and 1) and honestly BF4 looked most promising. Is it still worth it to pick it up or should I start playing 5 or 1 or wait until the next one?

    I imagine it being possible that DICE could try to push for a completely new game to be released using content and development concepts from BFV in order to try to rectify their mistakes with BFV. It would probably be a March 2021 release. The focus would be the late European war, including both the Liberation of France by the Americans and British and the drive to Berlin by the USSR. DLC would include a more robust Pacific theater as well as Italian and Mediterranean maps. The early European war is ignored completely.

    Title might be something like Battlefield: Downfall.

    Battlefield: Steampunk [newgame]

    Everyone wants Battlefield: 2143 but why mot think outside the box and go steam punk?? Huge colossal moving spider tanks spitting out steam/smoke, guns you have to pump up your sir tank to get a Piercing armor shot. I think they could make a immersive world around thst and huge battles. Any thoughts?
