The [BF3] Soundtrack Is Legendary Posted: 13 Mar 2020 03:05 AM PDT It was massively criticized on release for its incorporation of sythesis, but I personally think that's part of what made BF3s soundtrack so special. That and the ambience of the whole thing. It was dark, it was eery, it was kinda scary, the sound of soldiers singing and chanting with super dark droning synth, jets, and these percussive bass stabs topped off by jets screaming over head and helis flying over on Damavad Peaks loading screen song, to the sound of the super dark synth stabs and super dark chord progression and melody which evokes imagery of an invasion into the middle east and the futile feeling of being a soldier having to take part in that of Thunder Run and the way there is a break around 2:20 which removes the focus away from the percussion to the melody and progression, nothing has ever came close imo. And the main menus ambient theme of radio chatter and a droning synth in the back ground with what sounds like gun fire in the distances and occasional synth tremors. It's just. Nothing beats it. If I were to summarize what BF3s soundtrack sounds like in short it's what I'd imagine the end of the world sounding like if the end of the world had a soundtrack. Tho I cant seem to find a full playlist so you'll have to deal with with this 1 playlist OST [link] [comments]

[BF3] [BF4] I'm probably alone on this and it will never happen... Posted: 13 Mar 2020 12:39 AM PDT This applies to future Battlefield games. I always think how cool it would be if on conquest, the bases had npc soldiers. They would be scripted to do different stuff like running supplies around, giving orders to other npc soldiers, standing guard, working on the runway, etc. Basically just make it feel like a hectic base in the middle of a battle with everybody working their jobs and manning their posts. It would be so immersive. And maybe they could trigger into attack mode if the base were under attack. But they'll only target someone if that person shot at the base. So if a helicopter is bombing the shit out of the base, they would man an anti air gun or use a rocket launcher to try to take it down. Same with tank attacks or even just infantry. The npcs can be killed, but will always respawn by being trucked in from behind the base or flown in by helicopter or something. It would really help in those matches when a team gets backed up into their base and cant get anywhere for the whole game. I hate those games. But even if that happens, it would be so much more intense, having soldiers screaming, "We're fucked" and "Hold your ground men!" "There's too many of them!" That's basically all the post was about. I just always think about that when I'm spawning in on my dead, abandoned base. You can quit reading now if you like. The rest is me spitballing something that just popped in my head lol. Maybe there could be npc officers on base that you could go up to if you wanted, and they had different missions to pick from during the game. These missions, if completed, would offer xp and an xp boost, which would vary with the missions difficulty. Missions each come with a respawn limit of three lives. Die three times and the mission is failed and you get nothing. (Unless you're in a squad. After your third death, you will spectate your teammates until the mission is either accomplished or failed or choose to respawn back at base with that part of the map out of bounds until the mission is over. You receive full reward if your team succeeds.) Some missions would be for individual players and others would be for squads. Each mission can only be played by so many players or squads at a time. Once a squad or player completes a mission, it will become available again for someone else. Some mission examples off the top of my head would be: lay mines across this bridge, or capture and hold objective for 2 minutes, destroy a tank, give tank support to the bridge, etc. The missions could also maybe overlap. Like, if a mission has been taken by a team to plant explosives at C and hold the position, a player can pick a mission that says give sniper cover for the team or objective (maybe enforced or tracked by counting the amount of time the scope is faced in their general direction. Idk.) Squad missions offer more xp. Squad missions force your squad to stay within a certain radius of the squad leader, excluding sniper class, which can go outside the radius. Each squad mate must stay in the radius (which is pretty large) but can spend 15 seconds outside of it until the 10 second out of bounds timer starts. I could go on and on, but I'll stop. I just think it could give a little more immersion and direction to the game. Thanks for reading. [link] [comments]
[Question] Which Battlefield to buy on a PC in 2020? Posted: 13 Mar 2020 08:51 AM PDT I want to sink into the Battlefield world but I've heard that BFV is dying now. There is no player count on the internet so I can't check by myself. If want to play in Europe, which one of BFs would be the best to play now? [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Mar 2020 08:49 AM PDT Few new guns few new maps some new dialogue, just like they did with BF4 and made BFH just to pad out the extra year or so of wait for BF1. A new spinoff would definitely bring back interest in the series [link] [comments]
