As of the time of this writing, there are only 52 servers that have SOMEONE on them. The criteria is literally 1 or more people. And there are 52.

That's only a potential 3,328 players, and obviously, the actual number is much much lower because not all servers are 64 player servers, and most of them (literally all but 2) are not full.

So the number of people playing on PC right now is maybe 800?

I'm not posting this to say that something needs to change. I'm just saying it's sad. BF3 is better than any BF released since. 4 was okay, but all the others have been dumpster fires.

There are only two things that I think would bring this game back from the dead, and that's a new low price (expecting people to pay $40 for a nearly ten year old game with such low activity is absolutely insane), and giving it the BF4 treatment to remove battlelog and let you browse for servers in-game.

Obviously, neither of these things is going to happen because EA is EA... but man, wouldn't it be nice?

im curious of buying a long term server like at least until end of this year on ps3. was wondering if people would think i would get enough people to play on it. i would make it my fav maps 500% tdm no rules.. so op metro canals seine crossing etc all tdm. what do you guys think will it be worth?
