[BF6] Idea for a new BF6 War Story, with BF6 being set in a Modern setting. Posted: 26 Dec 2019 01:40 PM PST I would like BF6's War Stories to focus on famous conflicts of the modern era, and this is one of the most memorable British moments in the era of modern warfare. The SAS's siege on the terrorist-controlled Iranian Embassy in London. No 2 - Operation Nimrod, London, England, 1980. 22nd SAS Regiment. Part 1: Training Time Real-world footage implemented into a cutscene giving context of the situation in Iran and the capture of the embassy. Then move to Hereford RAF base and partake in a tutorial in the Killing House. Teaches you basic weapon, grenade and CQC skills. Part 2: Practise makes Perfect Cutscene showing negotiation developments and the fears that an SAS assault may be required. Drill in a wood recreation of the embassy and practice the assault twice, one to get your bearings and the second time against the clock to breach and enter. Part 3: Siege the Stronghold Cutscene showing SAS preparing for the assault. Then you begin, rappelling from the roof down in through the front windows. Your job is to eliminate all the terrorists and rescue the hostages. There are 6 terrorists and 20 hostages. You are part of the window breach team and help cut a trapped soldier from his entangled rappel line. One hostage will always die, but this will not cancel the mission and force you to restart, as he was killed by a terrorist. However, if you kill a hostage, the mission will fail. Two terrorists will always hide among the hostages, one will be identified by his grenade and pushed to one side, where you have to point-blank blast him before he pulls the pin. Four terrorists will be killed by you or the AI SAS operators during the assault. The sixth will be identified by a hostage in a post-mission cutscene and arrested by the Met Police. Post mission cutscene showing the immediate aftermath of the siege and more real-world footage. Challenges P1: Finish 'Training Time'. (Easy) Complete the level using only your pistol. (Medium) Eliminate all paper targets and escape in under 30 seconds. (Hard) P2: Finish 'Practise makes Perfect'. (Easy) Finish without reloading your weapons. (Medium) Complete the second breach and enter assault practise in 1:30. (Hard) P3: Finish 'Siege the Stronghold'. (Easy) Shoot 3 hidden enemies. (Medium) Complete the level with only headshots. (Hard) Equipment P1: MP5 and Browning Hi-Power. Flashbang '9-banger' grenades and no lethal gadget. P2: Same except for the addition of a singleplayer only lethal gadget – a Remington M870 for shooting open locked doors. Cannot use instead of MP5 for targets, if you do, you fail because of risk of shooting hostages. P3: Same except for the MP5SD instead of the MP5. AI SAS have the same weapons. 1 other has a MP5SD and 2 have a MP5K, the rest have regular MP5's. There are around 30 SAS. AI terrorists have a mix of handguns and revolvers. On is armed with a Vz. 61 Škorpion machine pistol. [link] [comments] | ||

[Battlefield] No, the next game should not be modern! Posted: 26 Dec 2019 01:57 PM PST I've heard so many people saying that after BFV we should go back to modern. Why? We've had 2 non-modern games, BF1 being arguably one of the best BF games ever made. BFV isn't very good, sure, but still you want to go back to modern already? Before BF1 we had Hardline, 4 and 3. Thats 3 modern games in a row! And 4 if you count online though I remember so little of that game I can't even remember when it takes place. I don't think we should go back to modern already. How about a 2142 future game? Not with jet packs maybe but think about it! So much creative freedom with vehicles, weapons, mechanics and map design! Plus the new frostbite engine on it! Or, go back to Vietnam! Make a Cold War game spanning all 40 years of the conflict, having weapons from Korea, Vietnam and even the more modern 80s and early 90s weapons! IMO it's way too soon to go back to modern day. [link] [comments] |
