[BF4] The realisation that everything was done by players: the helicopter landing to pick up soldiers for another objective, a soldier getting injured and calling for a medic, the commander finding an enemy hotspot and ordering an ICBM, players in their respective squads converging on the objective

    [BF1] Is BF1 Still Alive

    Posted: 09 Oct 2019 06:12 AM PDT

I've seen a post similar to this one's topic but people responded by saying people are still playing it. That isn't how it's going for me, since even Operations is barren as the Arabian desert in terms of playercount. So, I'm going to be sincere; are people still playing BF1 for real though or are people making this up?

[BF1] Looking back, this game was so good and was so much fun, especially when compared to BF5

    Posted: 09 Oct 2019 08:49 AM PDT

I loved most things about BF1. The guns were interesting, fun and visceral. Tanks weren't OP and had plenty of counters. Maps were fantastic and just looked beautiful.

My Favourite Maps (in no particular order) —>

    • Ballroom Blitz: Was great for sniping on top of the courtyard buildings as well as so much action around the centre.

    • Amiens: Smallish map with close quarters action that was so bloody fun to play on. Map layout was perfect and it was just so much fun!

    • Sinai Desert: Proper desert-feeling map which was perfect for all play styles. Lots of building for close quarters and open sand plains for sniping.

    • Argonne Forest: Looked beautiful and actually played really well. Many choke points and was relatively small for a conquest map.

    My favourite weaponry —>

    • Hellriegal: Can't beat this machine. Decent fire rate, no recoil, good damage and so much ammo. I wish more weapons felt as rewarding as the Hellriegal, but it was the best for sure.

    • Model 10-A Hunter: This shotgun was great and brought back memories of the BF4 shotguns sometimes, whereby it was just so solid in its damage output.

    • Snipers in general but mostly the Martini-Henry: Sniping was so fun and felt amazing. Best in the series easily. On maps like Monta Grappa, or Suez, sniping was so fun.

    Other things —>

    • Tanks didn't feel OP but also wasn't useless. They gave the tools to deal with most of them, such as anti-Tank nades, Rocket launcher thingy, and you could often get the pick up of the Tank Buster which was so fun to use. This is different from say BF4 whereby Tanks were so OP. I liked this in BF1.

    • Horses were a lot of fun to use, and felt realistic which is good. The strafe runs with the horses and the sword you carried could be hilarious and so fun.

    • Just a shame there was so much suppression and RNG in the gunfights, which is one of the things I like about BF4 and BF5, which is the tighter gun play overall.

    • Otherwise, I had an absolute blast with BF1 especially at launch. Looking back, it was so fun and I wish I could go back and experience it back then again.

[Other] Never played a battlefield game before. If there are 64 players per game, how can one person make a difference?

    Posted: 08 Oct 2019 06:32 PM PDT

I have never played a Battlefield game but I was wondering, if there are 64 players per game, so 32 players in your team, how can I be useful to the team? 1 bad player in 32 players dosen't seem like it would make a big diffrence? Can someone explain to me how this works?
