    Advanced Gameplay Options

    Honestly out of most the bf games, I think BF4 might have the most in-depth advanced options around.
    I've been playing this game for a long time and while I did go through quite a few times to change up my reticle colors, different hitmarker colors, disable the auto parachute deploy, the context based order giving thing, I kinda skimmed over some of the others.
    Saw a snippet of someone elses perspective today and noticed some of the spotted icons on infantry were different, had a sort of shield around them or something. I asked them about it and they weren't sure, but knew it probably happened after they fiddled with the Advanced options.
    So I went through all of them, not skimming to find exactly the things others told me about, but actually looking through. And there it was, under the Enemy HUD world icons, "Field upgrade armor icon".
    As someone who uses a bow, this is gonna help a ton.
    Also noticed these nifty options in the Deploy Screen section.

    i dont know if you guys noticed but some of the jets has a colorful trail like this one .(this picture isn't mine) Do you guys know why some of those are colorful? (i dont use sweet effects)

    Assault is not completely defenseless against armored vehicles on Conquest Large.

    I ran some tests at the test range and I discovered that it takes 6 shots with the M320 HE to the back side of a tank to destroy it (18 damage per shot, which is 1 point less than a SMAW to the front side of a tank). Using the Grenadier Field Upgrade gives you exactly 6 shots when you level it up to tier 3. Now, no tank will just sit there and take 6 shots from M320 HE to the ass without trying to kill you or drive away. However, if there are other players around you to soften up the target, it is possible to score the death blow to an armored vehicle and get that sweet, sweet "VEHICLE DESTROYED" in your score feed.

    I had been trying to achieve that for 3 matches in a row and I would either get myself killed by infantry or other vehicles near my target, my target would clap me, I would score a hit (and maybe disable it) just before someone else blew it up. During the third match I came across 2 LAVs next to each other which were shooting at something somewhere far away, so I engaged one of them, hit it once for 11 damage, the driver saw me, started returning fire, but I hid behind cover and then I peeked it again from a slightly different angle and got a second shot off, which did 10 damage to it, the enemy was desperate, I re-peeked the same angle as the first shot and I got a third shot off, which was rewarded with a loud BOOM. I was over the moon, apparently, it was low on HP. Unfortunately, my happiness was to be short-lived because an enemy foot soldier shot me from the side almost immediately after that.

    So, if you have friends and you want to try a new tactic, because you're bored, this one is worth it. A full squad of grenadiers has enough ordinance to ambush and kill a tank or an LAV. Of course, why would you do that, when the engineer class can do that more easily? I concede that, but with the assault class you can heal yourself/revive your teammates, you have access to the best primary weapons in the game and it has a high humiliation factor for the enemy. Your squad can run mixed loadouts - 2 or 3 people would run defibs and M320 HE and the rest would run the small medpack/the big medbag and the M320 HE and the whole squad heals and revives each other while being able to kill infantry and vehicles. Downsides are that you can't repair vehicles if you steal one from the enemy and there is also no one to supply you ammo, unless there are enough random support players.

    Does anyone use voice chat with randoms when playing solo?

    I just got a headset, and for the context of bf4, I haven't had any random squad mates that have mics say anything. I'm not gonna try saying something first being the introvert that I am, but I just wanna know if anyone else has been able to verbally communicate with randoms and coordinate your efforts in game.
