    BF2042 needs some kind of points for assists when destroying vehicles.

    So, on long range maps I run Angel, NTW-50, emp grenades, and a recoilless.

    Last night I took on a tank. Alone. The whole time.

    Hunkered down in a ditch, dropped a supply crate so I could refill my recoiless.

    I was fighting this tank for minutes, got it to charge me, hit it with an EMP grenade. And as I was pulling the bolt back on my NTW-50 to get the kill. Someone ran by and blew it up with a frag. This was an ordeal, someone kept spawning in it then hopping out to repair as well that I had to keep killing. 0 points.

    This is just the most annoying example. I have plenty of others.

    I'm just thinking that this would be the happy meet in the middle for those who do not particularly like the new battlefield. I think if Dice and EA could give BF3 a face-lift and leave everything original including the nitty gritty dialog, fast passed mechanics, and the wonderful sound effects fans would be happy. Just a thought. Seems to be a reasonable solution that would cater to the old and new quite well. Not sure what resources would go into this but if it could happen I would be more than happy to spend $60.
