    Are frag videos with nothing other than music in the background still appreciated these days?     Topping Scoreboards - No Decent K/D necesssry

    Hello BF4 Community!

    I saw a post the other day from a new player lamenting their poor performance and low K/D, and thought I'd post a small thing for people just trying to get into the game. I know a lot of people disappointed with BF2042 are looking at BF4 so we may see a small uptick in new players and this may be helpful for them.

    I recently redownloaded BF4 after a few years on other shooters, I always come back it seems.

    I know it can be discouraging seeing people go 55-2 when you're at a solid 7-16, and I know other shooters encourage K/D as a metric for performance. In BF4, this is not the be all and end all of your contribution.

    Last night I topped the scoreboard 3 out of 6 games, and my highest K/D was 14-22. This is because in BF4 your biggest contribution is in team play and playing the objective.

    I run recon using a DMR with the spotting attachment, spotting for your team is a steady stream of points. For my first gadget, I run PLD and paint tanks and choppers at every opportunity. For my second gadget, I run a respawn point and hide it near objectives we're pushing, and I am never outside of my weapon range from an objective.

    The takeaway from this is to stick to the objective, constantly spot, and run the gadgets that best support your squad.

    The other tip is to try to get squad leader. I routinely double my score as squad leader with a good squad. As squad leader it is your job to read the flow of the engagement and make sure there's no downtime on orders. Always be defending or capturing an objective, as situations change switch your order to bring your squad where it looks like they'll have the best chance of success. You get points for this if your squad follows your orders.

    These were just a few tips to make adjusting to BF4 easier. I know there are better ones out there, but this is specifically in response to somebody feeling bad about K/D.

    Points > K/D in BF4, and sometimes even those don't tell the story. If you're locking down a single objective all game you may not score as high as someone aggressively capturing, but you'll know you did something. You kept that point defended so those other team members could focus on new objectives. Only you know how useful you really were in a match!

    What do you think of BF 2042 in comparison to BF 4?

    I played BF 2042 for some 10 hours or so and I did not have a lot of fun with it. Portal can be fun, but then there are a lot of bugs and performance issues which ruin the experience. All Out War is no fun for me because of those "Specialists" and the way too large maps. So I went back to BF4 and had way more fun with it. And I am glad that there are still many people playing.

    What do you think of the new game and will you keep playing BF4 ?

    Coming back to BF4 but forgot if there is a setting to remove/reduce screen shake?

    I just reinstalled BF4, but I forgot if there was a setting to remove the bobble/screen shake effect? I have astigmatism, and right now it is uncomfortable to play because my eyes can't focus due to the shaking.

    Maybe I just need to get use to the game again or am I missing something?

    I bought the bundles many years ago, but havent played in a long time. when i go to play its is saying i own the bundles but i still have to re pay for all of them? Any ideas ?
