Revisiting Battlefield 1 gives me chills in the best way possible.

    Posted: 25 Oct 2021 07:10 AM PDT

After the initial disappointment from BF2042s beta I decided to reinstall Battlefield 1. I originally quit after the 2nd dlc pack but after coming back and seeing all the stuff they added (and stuff I forgot) I gotta say this game might actually be the best Battlefield game to date.

Tanks are heavy and terrifying, almost every last thing is destructible, the behemoths feel incredible to fight with and against. I love the map variety from crowded city streets at night to wide open hills in Italy.

The classes have a ton of variety and historical accuracy, the melee kills are gorey and brutal, each faction is mostly historically accurate and all speak in their native languages.

After playing 1 again I can't help but feel BF2042 is just a huge step backwards. BF1's graphics and sound design even hold up shockingly well.

If you haven't played 1 you should, and if you have you should consider revisiting it, it's a breath of fresh (old) air.

    2042 should have another beta

    Posted: 25 Oct 2021 09:06 AM PDT

Battlefield 2042 should have an another open beta with all the new specialists, bug fixes, and quality improvements. Also should try a different map like a city or something. Also give users portal access even if limited. Let everyone try what they claimed they fixed and let's see how it all plays together not in segments or promises.

Regardless I am excited about the game but would like to see how the game plays with all assets what are your thoughts?

Classic battlefield epic navel end game with the Japanese aircraft carrier on the run from our battleship but our battleship managed to catch up. Then the Japanese managed to sink our last battleship as well. This was the closest naval round I have ever played on Battlefield !

Do you think 2042 is worth it at this point?

    Posted: 24 Oct 2021 11:37 AM PDT

I am not asking for you to try and change my mind. I'm asking if YOU think it is going to be a good game despite the new specialists and if YOU are excited for it. Just hoping for a healthy discussion because I am genuinely curious.
