    When you look back, BF4 had a butt load of content! I am excited to see, what BF2042 can offer. What was your favourite expansion in BF4 and why? Because of maps, vehicles, guns, easter eggs? Thanks and have a nice weekend!

    Tone down your expectations for BF2042 Portal

    Many people seem to have shifted their focus to Portal after their disappointment in the beta. Seems the overwhelming majority have high hopes for Portal being their saving grace, and I feel like that is a recipe for disaster.

    We barely know anything about what we will be able to do in Portal. There is a high chance many of the things people expect to be able to do will simply not be possible. Developers have a long history of pushing what is possible in their games (read: Cyberpunk 2077, No Man's Sky) and then disappointing the audience when they realise it does not live up to the hype. While they did say that scripting would be possible, there is a high chance it isn't as flexible as people expect it to be, and will likely come with a lot of limitations that won't let you create your dream Battlefield from the ground up. After all, you'd probably need direct access to the game engine for that.

    So I'm just trying to warn people to not get too hyped for Portal, only to be let down again when it turns out it's not what you expect it to be.
