Battlefield 4 newcomer: questions for the vets of this game

I just played this for the first time. I have played previous BF and I currently play a decent amount of BF5.

First thing I notice about this game is the TTK; in BF5 I can kill people significantly faster, I feel like this gun play in BF4 is much more difficult to kill people and the TTK feels much longer, I did 5 individual bullets on a guy and he survived (I can 2-3 shot in BF5). Is this accurate?

Full auto weapons feel like they are missing most shots, do I need to feather the trigger?

Any tips or tricks for me?

I like the M1941 Johnson from BF5, is there a similar gun in BF4?

The starter assault gun, I am not a big fan, is there a more accurate alternative?

I'm not passing judgment on this game, I'd like to get into before BF2042. Any help is great, thank youb
