When I played cod mw, the sound design was, "unrealistic", to me. For example, when one of the npc's talk, it was as if they talked a few feet away with no reverb or their sound waves bouncing off. In the beginning of the mission comrades, when Dima and his allies talking together in the car, their voices reverb in the car and it sounds like they are actually talking to you there. However in cod, the voices do not seem to be affected by any surface and are crisp and clear.

Another thing is weapon sound, weapons in cod feel less influenced by environments are more "static", however, weapons in bf feel more pronounced and powerful to me. Just go shoot a gun inside a building and outside a building, do you hear the difference? The sound reverbs, I have never noticed this in cod.

Bottom line is, the sound design battlefield feels murky in a good way while cod sound design is crisp and clear with it not being influenced by the environment.
