What I like about the Sar-21 (and what I don’t.) Posted: 20 Apr 2020 02:22 PM PDT So this post will be talking about my new main gun, the Sar-21. I'll be going about what I like and dislike on the gun. Keep in mind that this is my opinion and with my playstyle, (my personal setup will be at the end) and I have just unlocked the gun a few hours ago. The very low recoil. This gun has some amazingly low recoil. That's pretty much it for this first one. The amazing looks and firing sound. This thing looks and sounds so cool. I just gotta say that. Amazing potential at any ranges. This thing has some really good potential to do well at any ranges. The dislikes: A rather slow fire rate. The gun has a slow fire rate, lowest of the assault rifles I think. The default damage pattern. This is a really dumb complaint for me to have but the damage patterns are the same as most other rifles. So I hope you all liked the post and were glad to hear my input on this gun, one last thing, my setup and playstyle, I run a mix of run and gun and keeping the enemies at range. The setup I usually use is coyote sight, magnifier, flash hider, and stubby grip, again hoped you all liked it and I hope my post helped with anything you might wanna know about the gun as I recommend it heavily. Posted: 20 Apr 2020 01:50 PM PDT <Platform: PC> Hey guys, so I've been playing bf4 for quite some time now(I am kinda a newcomer to the game, only playing since mid-january) and a weapon I really started to like is the SCAR-H. I got some kills with it already(as of right now, a little about 3.7k) and when it came to attachments, I always used to run the coyote with no accessory/magnifier and the heavy barrel(which is a fixed choice, I will not change that). But the thing that I would always break my head over was the choice of the grip: at the very beginning I used ergo/vert a lot, then I adopted the angled/folding for a time, tried out the ergo again etc. A grip I also had an "intermezzo" with was the stubby, altough I found that both the ergo and angled would outclass it due to them providing greater advantages than the stubby. So here's my problem: I am stuck between the angled and the ergo grip. I tested out both on the testrange, where the ergo's strafing accuracy advantage over the angled grip came in at about 40m, but the angled grip allowed me for faster bursts (always strict bursts of 2) onto targets further away( I used the 75m aswell as the 100m targets for this). The point is: does the angled grip really benefit when fired in rapid burst of 2 or will firing the weapon in too rapid burst make its spread not properly reset inbetween these bursts and rather harm its long range performance? Does the vertical grip really have that much of an advantage over the ergo grip or is strafing and firing in bursts at mid-ish range a bad habit? I am thankful to any kind of response. P.S: I already looked up several different sources on youtube and checked symthic aswell, but every source tells me something different... [link] [comments]
Battlepack Attachments - How to Obtain Them? Posted: 20 Apr 2020 05:42 AM PDT Hey guys, I know the title makes me seem like a dumbdumb but I was unable to unearth a straight answer on google despite my best efforts. I'm slowly acquiring a couple of guns that I'm really learning to love; however, for some of them I have sights that I really like but the same sight on another gun is listed as a "Battlepack" unlockable. I know the game is pretty old at this point but I really can't seem to find a straight answer to my question:
I have read online that the shortcut kits for weapon categories do not include attachments for said guns. So, if I'm not going to buy battlepacks is there genuinely no way for me to obtain them? Hopefully you guys can help me out! Thanks! and may your lobbies stay ever alive [link] [comments]

New BF4 server setup, need Procon Plugins Posted: 20 Apr 2020 03:40 AM PDT Hey all! My clan is busy getting a new US-based server setup and populated, I get to be the admin, whoo hoo! I have the server up and running and am managing it through Procon, I've been able to FTP three mods up to the Procon layer host and am only seeing one of them in the Plugins tab in Procon, and I need some help finding working versions of those and others. I have ProconRulz appearing and will work on setting it up, and the others are appearing on the Procon layer host, but they are NOT appearing in Procon, so I know the issue is with the files and not the setup. Insane Limits and True Balancer are available and installed on the Procon layer server, but are not in the tab, and I'd like to fix those and add a number of others that make servers informative and fun, like Latency Manager and xVotemap. I worry that the files I was able to find are older versions that may not work with the latest Procon, and information on MyRCON has been surprisingly sparse when it comes to file download locations. I know this is an older game so they may be difficult to track down, but they're part of every successfully populated server, so I know they're out there! Would any of you other admins be willing to share those files out with me, or even the text of the .cs file and others? I'm certainly no programmer, but I have resources. Many thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer, and here's hoping for more servers available! edit: I did see that Insane Limits has some known issues with the latest version of Procon [link] [comments]
[RANT] Goldmud Railway 24/7 I hate you Posted: 19 Apr 2020 07:42 PM PDT The base rape that I suffered on the Golmud Railway was humiliating. My team were ALL level 60 maximum. The other team was full of 140. They took all the flags and would not let us leave our base. Every tank, every sniper, every helicopter, every jet, the fucking AA was pointing at the base. I hate you motherfuckers [link] [comments]
Posted: 19 Apr 2020 06:08 PM PDT So I've been enjoying bf4 on the PS3 for quite some time now. I finally scrounged up enough cash to build a PC and decided I want the game in my PC library after seeing the base game available for $5 USD on origin. I was wondering if it was worth it to get the premium version for $25. Is the PC community still healthy and do people still play the dlc maps and modes? [link] [comments]
