Jumping back into BF4 from BF5 you realise what BF5 is lacking. Why it feels tedious at times. And why as a multi-title BF veteran BF5 is fun but also quickly boring.

BF4 is a madhouse sandbox. BF5 is a reserved scenario.

The game style is TOTALLY different.

BF4 is chaos. It's fast paced. Fluid. And there are vehicles everywhere. At any given point there are numerous helicopters, planes, tanks, ATVs, boats armored troop transports, light infrantry tanks, artillery tanks, motorcycles, Jeeps etc...on and on and on.

BF4 fed your "I wonder if I can __________moments" ....To often be answered with YES I CAN!

That doesn't happen in BF5. Your "I wonder if...." ..NO. no I can't.

BF5 Yes it's a different era without the modern vehicles. But it isn't the same gameplay. Vehicles are much more rare and therefor take FOREVER to gain a spawn and rankup. And you find yourself hiking across the battlefield much more often. With limited engagements. The chaos is tempered. You build fortifications (which I love) and wait.. the weapons used to be lethal.

I really hope BF5 reverses course. Maybe their environments and vehicles are limiting their overall memory budget and they can't bring it back to the Carnage fest. It's a gorgeous game. BF5 is beautiful...but the gameplay took a hard hit.

Hopefully DICE returns to the BFBC3/BF3/BF4 style of total chaos when they sit down at the concept table for BF6.

i just purchased BFv and it's not for me, getting it refunded. genuinely just feels like a posh BF game, like a wine bar in a dodgy area of London is the only way of describing it.

i loved BF4 on console back in the day, how popular is the game still in Europe? i am from the UK, I want to buy the game but don't if I cant find a decent ping server.

Not being preachy or condescending if i had a recommendation for new players or maybe people that may be struggling in a battlefield game it would be when in a match search the squads to find one with at least 3 ppl already in it. unless they are mostly snipers. Find a squad that can give you support and one you can help support. Spawn on 1 of the random guy and just follow him around and cover his 6. You help him cover corners and clear rooms and more than likely he will help cover your back in return. No need to talk to them just make him your involuntary team leader of your temporary army of 2. If one of you dies respawn back on him or pick a different random smuck to follow around. They don't even have to be in your squad find the nearest Blue berry and follow him. He doesn't get a choice. When i say follow him around i literally mean be where he is (like same room) but you don't have to stand right on top of him, no need to for both of you to try and cram in the same corner under the same set of stairs. And watch how he's playing if he has a silenced weapon and crawling around behind enemy lines mirror his tactics. Nothing worse than sneaking all the way up to a crowd UNDETECTED only to have your teammate pop up on you and blow your cover by letting all 200 rounds of a LMG ring out at the slightest glimpse of the enemy getting you both killed. ( sigh ) Damn it xbutttersx would you get down and shut the f*** up! we almost have B.

If you arent aware, the right time to buy a battlefield title is always 2 years after release. Whether it be the long necks and unjoinable battlelog of bf3, unplayable bf4 launch servers, or bfbc2 stats issues, these games are not ready at launch

I've met this guy in Pacific War for a week now. He only plays aircraft and has been apparently pissing everybody off because of his spawn-killing attitude. Plus, he can pick out a specific person from tens of infantry on the battlefield. He goes about spamming one dude 9 to 10 times and moves on to another throughout the game. He then trash talks people in "git gud" and "spawn in b****" and "stop hiding".

Of course, they can set up a spotting flares to spot dudes. However, as I said, he can see specific people on the battlefield, whenever, wherever.
I've observed him enough to see that when he bombs someone and swerves his plane up, he magically types a few words during that timeframe, which is quite literally impossible. In fact, he says more or less the same thing every time.
He dies 1 to 2 times only in a game of 40+ kills and some have accused him of not taking damage from AA guns and equipment.
People have mass reported this guy for harassment and 'hacking' and he's still not banned. DICE has not acknowledged the problem.

In conclusion, BFV becomes toxic, especially during discounts. Hackers roam free in the game also and the devs have done nothing to take care of them.
