    [BF Legacy]Battlefield Modern Lore.

    Posted: 28 Oct 2019 04:47 AM PDT

I had this crazy idea about how Battlefield could set up its world lore in a whole.

The Battlefield History deviates from ours after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the formation of EU. EU manages to pull itself into a large, powerful global entity, eventually becoming a de facto meganation with a functioning army. The Middle East, inspired by this move, creates the MEC, its efforts spearheaded by Afghanistan and Iraq. The MEC soon grows into a dangerous coalition, threatening Israel, Russia and the United States for "continually wronging them". When Iraq invades Kuwait to annex them to the MEC, US invades and starts the Gulf War, but the size of the MEC results in a no-win battle for both sides, both who begrudgingly sign a peace treaty. Tensions rise as 9/11 happens, but the MEC, stating that the terrorists were Saudi Arabian, invade Saudi Arabia and sets up a puppet regime, making it join the MEC. This tension explodes into war in 2004(Battlefield 2/Modern Combat), when a terrorist organization triggers everyone.

Time passes. In 2014(Battlefield 3), Iraq and Iran is now in shambles after the 2008 crash. An ultranationalist party called the PLR, akin to the Nazis, seizes power in a series of debilitating coups. US proceeds to invade the two countries under an agreement with MEC who promise to put the former leaders back in charge after the US settles things out. The storyline proceeds. During the story Paris gets nuked despite the efforts of Dima and his Team.

In the aftermath of Battlefield 3, a document leak reveals Solomon as a CIA asset, which leads the EU(at the behest of a badly-irradiated France) to sever ties with the US. Meanwhile, China, under nice yet imperialistic leader(Make China Great Again) Jin Jie, uses its military during the States' knockout period to expand into the Korean Peninsula, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Diaoyudao, as part of the long plan of setting up the Pan-Asian Coalition. In 2020(Battlefield 4) the storyline takes place. US declares war on Russia.

Battlefield: Bad Company and 2 happens after that, as Russia invades US and its allies under the support of EU and MEC. They presumably win, though that doesn't matter at this point.

2142 happens, freezing the entire world and beginning a future war.

[BFV and BF1 ] Is there are a point to pander womans when majority or nearly all of your audience is mans?

    Posted: 28 Oct 2019 07:23 AM PDT

I just dont find logic of this in terms of business. It's a war game. War is always related with mans and no matter how many skins they include and change game art to female etc it wont affect , because females are not simply interested in this. I mean its what it is for 1000 yrs . Females simply dont join armies dont war fights beside a very minority and last 50 years maybe?

Instead of having things like robot arm black lady ,having cover art was white blonde girl I think betting on people who actually play your game would be a better move. That literally screams alternative dimension despite having good graphics and trying to be realistic.

I just don't understand reasoning about this , were they trying to get females interested in wars and weapon related movie/games by putting them into cover art, media& game? I mean sorry DICE but females arent going to be hop in your game with realistic weapons and period related war game because you did these. Female gamers mostly like wacky colors and art games or futuristic games(talking about majority) . I mean lots of girls play overwatch, apex legends etc but those are very different than a period battlefield game.

    What's your thought about this

[BFV] BFV on sale or MW full price?

    Posted: 27 Oct 2019 11:53 PM PDT

I really enjoyed BF4 and BF1 but I was hesitant to initially buy BFV because of fan pushback against it. I've always enjoyed the cinematic moments and the beautiful visuals of the BF series. BF just feels more grounded than most shooters, and consequently more immersive.

BFV is currently on sale for 20 dollars and I was considering picking it up. However, I've been itching for a decent modern shooter and I've heard good things about the new MW. Perhaps pick up MW and wait for BF6? Any advice.

Opinions on hope for the future of the franchise?

    Posted: 27 Oct 2019 01:38 PM PDT

So I've been a battlefield fanboy ever since the release of BF3, and after the hideous launch of BFV, can they even rebound after that? I mean some players are even resorting to ground war on modern warfare as a battlefield substitute because dice can't seem to get their shit straight. Battlefield has been such a great series and id hate to see it's demise cause of a game like BFV, which isn't even a WW2 game, I'm not going to get into any details with that cause that's just beating a dead horse which I'm already doing plenty of. What are your opinions for the future of BF? Was modern warfare and bfv the killing blow for dice?

[BFV] Would anyone be interested in seeing the Aleutian Islands added as part of the Pacific?

For those who are unfamiliar with the Aleutian Islands Campaign, it involved the U.S. fighting the Japanese on a grouping of islands off the coast of Alaska

[BFV] Anybody know the country song in the Pacific trailer?

    Posted: 27 Oct 2019 05:31 PM PDT

After the Japanese guy is introduced, they cut to a scene of an American landing craft approaching the shore and deploying. In the background is country music. Is it an actual song (if so can you link it)? Or did they just compose it themselves (if so are there guitar tabs anywhere)? I don't really have the tech skill to find this stuff myself, otherwise I would. Thank you for understanding.
