Weekly Find a Friend Fridays - December 27, 2019 Posted: 27 Dec 2019 01:32 AM PST Comment with your ingame name, platform, and time zone (UTC system). For example, an Xbox One player in New York would create a title "innerpenguin [UTC -5 Xbox One] looking to PTFO and make new friends. " If you have a rented server active this week, we invite you to list it here. Please specify which platform the server is for and any rules that you have. You can find past Find a Friend Fridays here. [link] [comments]

(PS3) Bringing you back premium maps! Posted: 27 Dec 2019 07:00 PM PST I don't like to assume, but I will fucking do it. I'd guarantee that 99% of us miss Gulf of Oman, Epicenter, Wake Island, Karkand, ect. I most certainly do! So I will be renting a server in a couple hours and looking to makes these maps available for play again. I also wouldn't mind switching it up for some players who would want to complete some assignments. I usually play often, but there are times where I will not have time for a few weeks, I still believe you all should add me as a friend though. I'll be back with a server name when the server is up and ready to please you all ;) server names will be appreciated, let's do something cool lol Ps3 username: Chiri_XIII [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Dec 2019 10:09 PM PST Howdy! This is mostly a guide to those that struggle with destroying those mean, armored vehicles that roam the battlefield, waiting to ruin your day! This post will be organized in the following ways: Weapons Strategies and Weaknesses Damage Tables What to NOT do So, let's get started!
Self explanatory, the Mk153 SMAW, RPG-7V, FGM-148 Javelin, M15 AT Mines and the XBOW. The Rockets (SMAW and RPG) are, well, rockets, meaning they are not guided. You'll need to compensate for the drop as distance increases, and they can be stopped by Reactive Armor. The Javelin is an Anti-Tank Guided Missile. It requires a couple of seconds to lock onto Enemy Vehicles (More if they have Thermal Camo). The standard mode of it is a more Aggressive one, which once fired, goes up a few meters before directly going in the direction of the AFV (Armored Fighting Vehicle). In the scenario that the Vehicle is targeted by a Laser Designator, the Missile will instead head upwards and strike down on the enemy, a 'Top-Attack' mode if you will, dealing more damage. In most cases, the Javelin will disable even an MBT with a single hit as long as it doesn't have Reactive Armor. This ATGM can lock onto Aircraft which have been targeted by a Laser Designator as well. The Javelin can also easily be countered by Smoke. The M15 AT Mines, yes, the ones people think that can be used against infantry in TDM, those. 3 of these bad boys are more than enough to destroy a MBT, but they are really easy to counter as well. An AFV with Thermal Optics, or one that's constantly looking at the ground spamming the Spot button, or one that just has good eyes, can see them and destroy them. The X BOW's a good all-rounder. Precision darts, explosive darts and scanny darts. The Explosive, while it may not deal a lot of damage, is really damn useful against vehicles, at least just to panic them and have them run away.
Each vehicle has Pros and Cons. For example, while slow, a MBT has a lot of armor and it's Main Gun deals a lot of damage. But everything has it weakness, and AFVs are no different. Let me put a scenario: 'You're on Objective Charlie, capturing it. You're inside the refinery. A big, mean T-90A comes into the area and begins to capture it. What you should do is hear up, and get to a point on which the Main Gun can't elevate enough to target you, and you fire from the top into the turret, dealing a lot of damage.' This is something really common, which is firing from an AFV's blind spot with an AT Rocket. Another viable tactic is utilizing M15 Mines and throwing them either behind (So the vehicle drives over them when it tries to back up) or the side (so you can grenade it or use a Magnum to detonate them). Another possible tactic is just getting on a high spot, with a friend thats using the SOFLAM, get an Ammo Box and just destroy everything you see with a Javelin. But, on EVERY SINGLE SCENARIO, take COVER. Cover is your friend, you don't disrespect your cover. Some cover is better than none.
*These may not be accurate, and damage depends on the Angle on which you fire as well. This was done from firing on a straight line against the Vehicles, and may not be accurate at all, but it at least will give you a general idea of the damage everything deals. MBTs (M1 Abrams | T-90A) AT Rocket Front: 21% Sides: 36% Back/Top: 55% Tank Main Gun Front: 28% Sides: 39% Back/Top: 61% IFVs (BMP-2 | LAV-25) AT Rocket Front: 31 Sides: 34% Back/Top: 35% Tank Main Gun Front: 55% Sides: 49% Back/Top: 57% SPAAGs (LAV-AD | 9k22 Tunguska) AT Rockets Front: 35% Sides: 34% Back/Top: 36% Tank Main Gun Front: 52% Sides: 52% Back/Top: 52% Tank Destroyers (M1128 | Sprut-SD) AT Rockets Front: 36% Sides: 36% Back/Top: 35% Tank Main Gun Front: 39% Sides: 42% Back/Top: 47%
Here is where I'll yell at you about what you should not, in any case at all, do: -Using a M320 against group vehicles Like, what has gone through your mind!? It deals like, 3% of damage to an MBT. -Running in front of a Vehicle that has a good player You'll be instantly deleted, unless you know how to run past one. -Running at a vehicle with the repair tool from the front It's straight up suicide, just… don't. -Standing in the open while firing a Rocket, or trying to lock onto a vehicle Same as before, you'll be easy to spot and easy to be killed. Okay folks, that's pretty much all I've wanted to say. I'll try to answer questions in the comments. Disclaimer: I do not consider myself the best Vehicle player in the game, and there are most certainly better players than me. This is from MY perspective, but hopefully it'll help you guys. Jeepers out! [link] [comments] |
